Cornerstone Insurance Plc and NEM Insurance Plc have announced an agreement to provide a group personal accident social welfare scheme known as ‘Eagle Social Welfare Scheme’ to all Nigerians across the country.

The scheme is designed to provide medical relief to the populace in the event of domestic accidents, accidents at work, vehicular accidents, temporary/permanent disability and death resulting from an accident.

The commencement of the social welfare scheme will further boost economic security, create employment and develop new asset pools that can be invested in other ways to support economic development while reducing sufferings from injuries, disabilities from accidents and high death rates.

The official launching was held recently at the Cornerstone Insurance corporate head office in Lagos.

The programme was officially launched by The Group Managing Director/CEO of Cornerstone Insurance, Ganiyu Musa, who also doubles as the Chairman of Nigeria Insurance Association.

He was assisted by the Group Managing Director/CEO of NEM Insurance, Tope Smart who was represented by the Head of Underwriting, Bolanle Baruwa.
