*To be commissioned by Buhari in January

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, said that the Imota Rice Mill in Ikorodu has commenced operations and will be commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari by January next year.

Sanwo-Olu stated this at the 2022/2023 All Progressives Congress, APC, Gubernatorial Campaign -Lagos East Senatorial District Mega Rally at Ikorodu Town Hall.

According to the Governor, the President would also commission other laudable projects in the state, while commending the people of Ikorodu and the district for their continuous support for his government, and the ruling party.

The Governor who received a heroic welcome at the rally said the event was in support of the APC’s candidates in the Senatorial District urging the people to endeavour to collect their Permanent Voter’s Card to perform their civic responsibilities during the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

He urged residents of Ikorodu and its environment to vote massively for all the candidates of the APC in the forthcoming election to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

The governor also implored party members and supporters to mobilize for the party’s candidates.

Sanwo-Olu restated his administration’s commitment to further bring about socio-economic and infrastructural development to the state while ensuring Lagosians enjoy the dividends of democracy.
