The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a temporary shutdown of its portal for the upload of 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results, citing the need to address technical glitches.
In a statement on Friday, JAMB explained that the suspension was necessary to resolve system errors affecting candidates’ ability to upload their O’Level results ahead of the ongoing admission process. The Board assured candidates that the downtime is temporary and that the portal will be restored once the issues are fixed.
“The Board is currently working with its technical partners to rectify the identified issues and ensure the system functions seamlessly for all candidates,” the statement read.
JAMB urged candidates not to panic, assuring that the development will not affect the admission timetable or disadvantage any applicant. The Board also warned candidates against seeking assistance from unauthorized agents, stressing that all uploads should be done through accredited CBT centres once the portal is reopened.
This move comes as universities nationwide prepare to commence the 2025/2026 admission exercise, with millions of candidates expected to complete their documentation through JAMB’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
