Incumbent Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has clinched a decisive victory in the November 8, 2025 governorship election, securing re-election with a commanding total of 422,664 votes.

According to results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Soludo ran on the ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and won in all 21 local government areas of the state, meeting the legal requirements for election.

His nearest challenger, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 99,445 votes, while the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate, Paul Chukwuma, recorded 37,753 votes.

Soludo first assumed office in November 2021, and his re-election is viewed as a strong endorsement of his governance track-record and the development agenda pursued under his administration.

The outcome solidifies APGA’s continued dominance in the Igbo-heartland state and positions Soludo to consolidate infrastructure, education and economic reforms during his second term.
