My fellow Nigerians, members of Oshodi Connect.
You asked me, as President, why is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu far better than Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar? Let me answer you not as a politician, but as a Nigerian who has seen leadership at all levels.
1. AS PRESIDENT, HE TOOK THE DIFFICULT DECISIONS THEY ONLY TALKED ABOUT
For 20 years, every presidential candidate including Obi and Atiku promised to remove fuel subsidy and unify exchange rates. They wrote it in their manifestos.
Only Asiwaju as President had the courage to do it on day one. He did not complain. He did not shift blame. He faced the storm to save the future of our economy. That is the difference between a President and a commentator.
2. AS PRESIDENT, HE IS BRINGING BACK OUR COMPANIES
Under Asiwaju as President, we are seeing what we never saw before:
* The refineries are coming back – Port Harcourt is back, Dangote Refinery is working.
* Student Loan (NELFUND) is back – giving our children access to education.
* Consumer Credit Scheme is coming – to empower artisans and traders in Oshodi.
* CNG Initiative – to bring down transport costs for the common man.
These are presidential ideas to revive production. Obi and Atiku as President would have only managed consumption.
3. AS PRESIDENT, HE THINKS OF TOMORROW, NOT JUST TODAY
A President must think of the next generation, not just the next election.
Asiwaju’s Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Highway, and the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Fund are legacy projects that Obi and Atiku will never conceive, because they think small and talk small. Asiwaju thinks big for a big nation like Nigeria.
4. AS PRESIDENT, HE UNITES, HE DOES NOT DIVIDE
As President, Asiwaju has not run a government of one tribe, one religion, or one region. He has carried everyone along. He builds bridges across the Niger.
This is different from a politics of religion and ethnicity, and politics of desperation where power must come by any means.
5. AS PRESIDENT, HE HAS PROVEN EXPERIENCE AND A POLITICAL CASTLE THAT PRODUCES LEADERS
You cannot compare a former Governor of one state and a former Vice President who had limited powers, to a man who has been Governor of the most complex state in Africa, leader of the opposition that defeated an incumbent President, and now President of the Federation.
Asiwaju is not learning on the job. He came prepared.
His greatest legacy is his Political Castle and School of Thought. Senator Opeyemi dwelled in that castle and became a great man. Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon (GOS) learnt from it and became a political factor. Hon. Moruf Akinderu Fatai (MAF) was schooled in his legacy in Oshodi and today is our political umbrella in Oshodi. Hon. Taiwo Ayedun (Shanana) in that same Political Castle and School of Thought is the reason all youths in Oshodi are magnetized to Asiwaju’s political heroism.
That is leadership. He does not keep the light to himself, he lights others.
CONCLUSION
Fellow Nigerians, Peter Obi talks about the economy. Atiku talks about privatization.
Asiwaju as President is FIXING the economy. He is FIXING what was privatized wrongly.
That is why we say: BRING BACK OUR COMPANIES, BRING BACK OUR FUTURE – and only the Eagle can do it.
We stand with PBAT. We work for PBAT. We will vote PBAT 2027!
