The Women in Management, Business and Public Finance, (WimBiz) will hold its 18th annual conference on Thursday, 7th November 2019.

The annual conference which is its flagship event will take place at the prestigious Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at a press conference last Friday in Lagos, Chairperson Executive Council, WimBiz, Olubunmi Talabi said the theme for this year’s conference is : ” Shaping the future, strategising to win” .

She added that over 3,000 women and men are expected at this year’s conference which will have the Ekiti State First Lady and a femnist activist , Erelu Bisi Adeleye – Fayemi as the key speaker.

She said the target audience for the conference are women in Management, Business and Public Service adding that it is not going to be an all women affairs as men will also be in attendance.

On what the delegates to the conference should expect from the event, Talabi said,: “They should expect value, they are going to get a lot of value for their time . They are going to get fired up, they will also get practical tips on how they can strategise to shape the future they desire for themselves and for our country Nigeria. Delegates should also expect to be inspired and empowered, each session has been carefully tailored to provide impactful insight on topics critical to positive outcomes in life”.

On the networking advantage, Talabi said there will be a pre-conference event which will provide opportunity to network saying, ” over 3,000 men and women will have opportunity of exchanging business cards an hour before the main event.

Also speaking at the press conference, Associate Member, WimBiz, Tosin Adefeko said the two days event will have seven plennary sessions with different keynote speaker on each day.

She also said that the 2019 WimBiz Annual Conference Impact Investment Competition will equip three female – owner start-up enterprises with the necessary support to ensure their success and sustainability.

Those that also addressed the media at the press conference aside Talabi and Adefeko are ; Members, Executive Council, Ijeoma Taylaur and Andrey Joe- Ezigbo.

WimBiz is a non- profit organisation that has over the last 18 years empower and advocate for greater representation of women.
