THE Africa Insurance Women Association (AIWA) has revealed plans to bridge the gender gap in the insurance industry and empower women to take leadership roles in the country.
The group disclosed in an event to announce the international conference billed to discuss the future of insurance, trends, and challenges.
Speaking about the conference, the president of the Africa Insurance Women Association (AIWA), Mrs. Margaret Nkechi Moore, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming meeting and said that the conference marks an essential moment for the insurance industry in Africa.
Nkechi Moore noted that it’s an opportunity to address the challenges and opportunities faced in the insurance industry, especially in the context of gender diversity and leadership.
“I am confident that the insights and solutions shared during this event will pave the way for a more resilient and innovative industry, driven by women leaders’ unique perspectives and strengths,” she stated.
The chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Mrs. Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, also highlighted the significance of the event that will take place from November 2nd to 6th, 2024, in Lagos, saying the AIWA conference is not just a gathering; it is a movement towards a more inclusive and forward-thinking insurance sector.
