The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) has called on industry players in the insurance value chain to embrace technology innovation to drive growth.

This, the institute highlighted at its 2023 Council Retreat held in Lagos, saying the sector stands to gain a competitive edge and position itself for growth with digitisation.

Speaking at the programme themed, ‘Wellness Code for National Leaders in the Technology Age’, the President/Chairman of Council, CIIN, Edwin Igbiti, observed the importance of adaptability in the ever-evolving business landscape and said there is a need to confront challenges in the business landscape as the world keeps changing at an unprecedented rate.

“We must be prepared to address some of the challenges. It would also make us agile, responsive and open to new ways of thinking and doing business.

“To promote adaptability, we must inspire a culture of continuous learning and innovation. We also need the industry’s employees to explore new ideas, take calculated risks and embrace change. By fostering a culture that rewards experimentation and growth, we can ensure that the organisation remains at the forefront of innovation,” he said.

He advised the industry players to prioritise their well-being as they navigate the challenges of the technology age.
