For the second time, Rivers State House of Assembly has initiated impeachment proceedings against the State Governor, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara.
This is coming after the State House of Assembly resumed plenary sitting today, January 8, rather than the previously scheduled resumption date of January 26.
Major Jack, Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, during plenary on Thursday, read the gross misconduct charges against the Governor, signed by 26 members of the Assembly.
The Speaker, Martins Amaewhule said the notice of gross misconduct will be served to Governor Fubara within the next 7 days.
