Frequently, the major barrier for one to get an education in life is financial and many others .in some situations finance is not only the major reason as it appears but parental issues might be another hindrance or setback to achieving a better education in life.
While education has become very expensive in most countries especially the third-world countries where only the rich can afford education for their kids. in many under-developed nations, the cost of education is so expensive that many individuals end up uneducated.
A lack of relevant knowledge can deny a person from emerging and exploiting his/her abilities and thereby unable to achieve outstanding success in life.
Education is important in our lives and we should not accept any hindrance either financial or family issues that will not let us actualize our dreams. There are ways in which one can overpower difficulties in pursuit of education.
Scholarship: scholarship has been a common way of overpowering difficulties in the pursuit of education. While in college with the help of your parent and if you wish to further to university, will advise you to source scholarships to finance your education. will emphasize here that scholarships opportunity varies from one country to another. in developing countries there is more scholarship opportunity than the third-world nations. Some colleges or universities give scholarships to some students based on their academic performance or organized examination, some foundations and organizations give scholarships to students based on performance or organized examinations. There are some NGO organizations such Allex Otti scholarship foundation, Orji Uzor Kalu foundation, Bishop oyedepo scholarship WAAW foundation scholarship and many more that award scholarships to thousands of students each year.
In other words, getting a scholarship comes with a prize which is studying harder.
Skills: learning skills is very helpful before venturing into school to acquire more knowledge or for a career purpose whichever way, you can finance your education in school by learning a trade such as hair barbing, braiding, photographic and makeup artist before going to the college or university. The good thing is that any of these jobs can be learned within a few months. There are many students that finance their studies through barbing or braiding in the school environment. Many of them barb or braid hair around the student’s hostels while some students buy cameras to snap students within the school premises. I discovered while the school that nearly 90% of students take a lot of pressure in snapping pictures almost on a daily basis. This is an avenue for serious students who engage in this service to raise enough funds to finance their studies.
in fact, I have a friend Amana she is very good at beautifying hands which are called henna common among ladies, especially brides, she does this a lot in school even some male friends show interest in the skills she doesn’t need to wait for her parent to send her upkeep because the skills fetch her some good amount of money to sustain herself.
Employment: if there is an opportunity like par time work you can venture into while in school is also helpful. I have a friend who works for 2 -3 years after secondary school and saved the money to train himself for university. There are many odds jobs out there that you can do for some time to raise enough funds to finance your education in the university.
The reason many youths do not want to work is due to laziness. If you have a burning desire to pursue your education, you must be ready to pay the prize and accept the responsibility of work and be disciplined in your spending. Save a higher percentage of your income for education. while in school, you can also look for part-time jobs to finance your education.
I know of many students that combine work with their academics and this did not affect their academic performance, in fact, they use to be among the most brilliant students in the class. I believe that if you can accept the responsibility to work before going to a higher school of learning and also look for employment during the holiday while in school and discipline in your spending by living according to your income, not outdoing or spending lavishly without thinking about the future, you will have enough fund to finance your studies in the universities.
