To those who have followed the prophetic utterances of the fire and spirit filled Founder of The Celestial Church of Christ Genesis Model Parish Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe closely, they will attest to the fact that any word proceeding from the mouth of this youthful Man of God cannot be taking lightly. Recently at an event to mark his birthday on 10th March 2019 at the Grandeur Event Hall Oregun Lagos, Prophet Oladele Ogundipe also used the event to celebrate the victory of the APC Lagos Gubernatorial Candidate Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the polls.
Speaking to Journalist, Genesis as this fiery Man of God is popularly called by millions of adherents revealed that the governor elect, Sanwo-Olu was a child of destiny whose emergence as the Governor of Lagos State was a divine arrangement. He revealed that Sanwo-Olu’s strong point that made him the unanimous choice of the elders of Lagos APC was his uncommon humility. He also stated that it was revealed to him that nobody could have defeated Sanwo-Olu in that election based on the general acceptance he got from all stakeholders in the state.
Prophet Oladele went beyond the euphoria of the recent victory to admonish the governor elect on what he must do or not do to avoid failing in office as governor. According to Genesis, Sanwo-Olu’s emergence was based on his humility and God fearing nature and disposition that endeared him to all. He warned the incoming governor not to allow the glamour and vainglory of the trapping of high office to get the better of him. He advised him to keep in mind that it was the unalloyed faith in God that is his foundation and such must hold tightly to that faith.
The trappings and demands of office might derail any man. For Sanwo-Olu to succeed, he must retain his humility to retain the support of all who supported him to become governor. He must hold on to his Christian faith and righteous disposition to retain God’s favour and support. If he adheres to this, he will surely succeed but if not, god forbid, he will fail Genesis concluded.
