The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to commence printing of their examination notification slips.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Board said the slip contains critical details required for the examination, including candidates’ examination dates, venues, time and other essential guidelines.

JAMB advised candidates to print their slips ahead of the examination to enable adequate preparation and avoid last-minute challenges.

“The notification slip is a mandatory document for all candidates, as it provides specific information on the examination schedule and centre allocation,” the Board stated.

Candidates were urged to visit the official JAMB portal using their registration details to access and print the document.

The Board also emphasised the importance of verifying all details on the slip, advising candidates to report any discrepancies immediately through designated support channels.

Industry observers note that early printing of examination slips has become a standard measure by JAMB to ensure seamless conduct of the UTME and reduce logistical disruptions at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.

The UTME remains a key requirement for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria, with millions of candidates sitting for the examination annually.

JAMB reiterated its commitment to a transparent and efficient examination process, urging candidates to comply strictly with all guidelines to ensure a smooth exercise.
