Ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election, African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Hon. Omosuyi Olumide Abayomi, has intensified consultations and grassroots mobilisation across Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, drawing sizeable crowds at campaign engagements and community meetings.
The increased turnout at his recent engagements has added visibility to the ADC candidate’s campaign as he seeks to present an alternative platform to voters in the constituency ahead of the election.
Omosuyi, who emerged as the ADC candidate for the constituency during the party’s 2027 primaries, is campaigning under the banner of “Vision 2027” with the slogan “The Solution.” His campaign has centred on people-focused representation, accountability, youth empowerment and improved access to development opportunities.
At his engagements with residents, supporters and community stakeholders, the candidate has continued to outline his proposed priorities, including improved rural infrastructure, education and vocational training, primary healthcare, youth employment and support for small businesses.
The growing attendance recorded at some of his meetings has also provided an opportunity for the candidate to interact directly with residents and listen to concerns about development, employment and representation.
Omosuyi has argued that federal representation should go beyond legislative presence to producing tangible projects, economic opportunities and interventions capable of improving the living conditions of constituents.
His campaign profile has also been shaped by his professional background in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry, where he has more than three decades of experience, including 13 years with QatarEnergy. He has worked in areas covering health, safety and environment, offshore operations, project safety and risk management.
The ADC candidate has also highlighted his involvement in businesses and community initiatives, including employment and educational support, as part of his record of engagement with people in Ondo State.
As the 2027 contest draws closer, Omosuyi’s campaign is increasingly taking its message to communities across Okitipupa and Irele, with the size of attendance at his engagements becoming a visible feature of his grassroots outreach.
The election will ultimately put the competing candidates, their programmes and their claims before voters in the constituency.
