An underwriter, AXA Mansard Health, has introduced a new television commercial campaign called ‘More Wellness for Less’ to increase health insurance adoption in Nigeria.
The new campaign is a 60-second film that highlights the significance of having a health insurance scheme and seeks to educate the average Nigerian on the benefits they can get from such plans.
According to the firm, over the years, health insurance has been known as a tool for protecting one’s family/loved ones – particularly during their working years when children are younger and financially dependent to ensure that they are properly catered for in the event of one’s death.
Speaking at the campaign launch in Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer, AXA Mansard Health, Tope Adeniyi, said Nigerians can subscribe to the service for as low as N1,000 to have access to health services.
Tope explained that the underwriter has a range of simple products that enable Nigerians to have decent access to lifestyle products.
“They can configure them based on your lifestyle. Think about it, the value of your airtime is practically about three times the cost of buying access to more awareness or less. So, everyone can buy AXA,” he said.
Chief Client Officer, AXA Mansard Insurance, Rashidat Adebisi, said: “It is very important to us. Mental health is very topical. It has been with us for a long time. Those are some of the things that you can access under retail products.”
