The Federal Government is proud to announce its support for the upcoming 10th-anniversary comedy show of the renowned Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, professionally known as Ali Baba, scheduled for January 1, 2025.

The event will not only celebrate a decade of laughter but also feature an innovative photography contest aimed at rewarding talented photographers in the creative industry.

Speaking on the development, the Special Assistant to the President (OVP) on Digital and Creative Economy, Fegho Umunubo, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying the government is committed to empowering the creative sector.

Umunubo said that Alibaba has been a vital force in providing a platform for countless creatives, and we are excited to be sponsoring the 10th edition. The photography contest is a fantastic opportunity for emerging talents to showcase their skills and gain recognition.”

Ali Baba Stated ‘’for the 10th Anniversary edition of Alibaba’s January 1st Concert, we will be hosting a photography competition with three categories: A guest laughing, An artist performing on stage, A photograph of three or more guests having a good laugh, The photo of the single guest laughing and the artist

performing can be in either color or black and white, as per the contestant’s creative choice.

However, the photograph featuring three or more guests laughing must be in color.

The prizes for the competition are as follows: – 1st Prize: N3 million plus a camera- 2nd Prize: N1.5 million plus a camera – 3rd Prize: N500,000 plus a camera Contestants are expected to bring their cameras, lenses, flashes, memory cards, and

flash drives, and be ready to shoot. After capturing their entries, they must submit their photos to the judges.”

I am thrilled to celebrate 10 years of comedy with a show that not only entertains but also uplifts and rewards the incredible talent in our community, said Umunubo.

The anniversary show promises to be a night filled with laughter, celebration, and inspiration, highlighting the vital role of creativity in Nigeria’s economic landscape.

Photographers interested in participating in the contest are encouraged to showcase their unique perspectives and talent, with exciting rewards awaiting the winners.

Everyone is encouraged to join in celebrating a decade of comedy and creativity at Alibaba’s 10th anniversary show on January 1, 2024, where together, Nigerians can continue to uplift and empower the creative community in Nigeria.
