The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) has commiserated with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and the people state over the recent explosion that claimed lives and properties worth millions of Naira.
The Council, in a statement today signed by its Corporate Communications Manager, Oladele Ayeleso, said the explosion occurred January 16, 2024 in Ibadan was reportedly left over seventy people badly injured while the number of death casualty has increased to five as at the time of issuing this statement.
The president of the council, Prince Oguntade in a condolence letter written to the Executive Governor of the State expressed the Council’s deepest sympathy to the Governor and the people of the state, stating that the tragic explosion destroyed assets of substantial economic value in the state.
The statement read in part “We extend our wishes of comfort and strength to the families affected in general and the victims in particular who are enduring the aftermath of this devastating occurrence.
“In the light of this trying time, we recognize the importance of solidarity and collaboration in addressing the pains and the losses of this incident”.
