The World Economic Forum (WEF) will convene more than 1,000 global leaders in New York from September 22 to 26 for the Sustainable Development Impact Meetings 2025 (SDIM25), an annual platform aimed at fostering collaboration on some of the world’s most pressing economic, social and environmental challenges.
According to the WEF, the week-long event will bring together heads of state, business executives, academics, international organisations, philanthropies and civil society groups to accelerate progress on inclusive growth, responsible technology and sustainable development.
The meetings will feature high-level dialogues, policy roundtables and working sessions focused on building resilient economies, scaling climate solutions, advancing ethical innovation and driving investment towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Organisers said SDIM25 will place special emphasis on how public-private partnerships can translate commitments into measurable impact, while promoting cross-sector cooperation to tackle challenges such as inequality, food insecurity, climate risk and access to digital infrastructure.
“The Sustainable Development Impact Meetings offer a unique space where leaders can align on solutions and renew action for a more inclusive and sustainable global economy,” WEF said in a statement announcing the event.
Participants will also explore new financing models to support the energy transition, expand green jobs and strengthen resilience in vulnerable communities, while examining the role of emerging technologies — including artificial intelligence — in advancing sustainable growth.
Stakeholders and the public are encouraged to follow discussions and outcomes from SDIM25 on the World Economic Forum’s website and via social media using the hashtag #SDIM25.
The annual gathering forms part of the WEF’s broader effort to keep sustainability, equitable development and responsible innovation at the forefront of the global agenda.
