The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Police Command, CP Adeyinka B. Adeleke has on behalf of the officers and men of Delta State Command felicitates with Deltans as they celebrate Christmas and New Year.
To this end, the Commissioner of Police has ordered the deployment of over seven thousand (7000) officers and men comprising Conventional Police and other Tactical Teams of the Command with adequate necessary logistics to provide security in churches and other public places of interest in the State.
The Command has also warned all ” unfriendly forces of all descriptions, such as kidnappers, militants, cultist and other disgruntled elements that may want to cause break down of law and order before, during and after the festive period to have a rethink or face the full wrath of the law.
Finally, the CP enjoins all and sundry to go about the celebration in a peaceful manner and to cooperate with Police and other security agencies in their efforts towards ensuring peaceful celebrations and equally report any suspicious person or object to the nearest Police Station or call the Command control room.
