The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced Wednesday and Thursday, June 28 and 29 as public holidays for the Eid-il-Kabir celebration.

According to Channels TV, the announcement was made in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Oluwatoyin Akinlade on Monday, June 26.
