The President, Fusion of Aye Development Associations (FOADA), has revealed plans to honour eminent sons and daughters at the upcoming 2022 edition of the Layelu Day Celebration in Ode Aye, in Ondo State
The National President, Chief Henry Olatujoye, while briefing members of the community, at an emergency National Executive Meeting to finalise arrangements for the celebration, said the 2022 Layelu celebrations will be celebrated in grand style.
He said, “The week-long celebrations start early on Monday 7th November 2022 and end with a Thanksgiving Service at The Apostolic Church, Ode-Aye on Sunday 13th November 2022. The grand finale of the programme is on Saturday 12th November 2022 where the Sons and Daughters of Aye and Ikale who have distinguished themselves in the socio-economic sector including academics will be given special awards to further appreciate and encourage them.”
The President, said other programmes lined up for the week include, cultural and agricultural days while students of the Ode-Aye Skill Acquisition Centre graduation ceremony comes up on Wednesday. The President said a FOADA Football competition is already ongoing at the group stage and the final is slated for Friday 11th at the Daniken Grammar School football field.
“I, therefore, invite the general public to come to celebrate with the Kabiyesi, HRM Oba Williams Akinlade, Uyi Oba 1 and the entire Aye Kingdom”, the President said.
